My colleague and I came here and we were very very pleased with the food and service___So it's $8, for an appetizer, dish and drink.

We had an amazing lunch here and would really recommend it! Don't be fooled by the nondescript exterior, this is a place you must go for lunch in Montreal. We immediately felt welcomed and put at ease by the owner who was running the whole place by himself. There's not really a menu but he explained how it all worked. We had vegetable soup to start which was lovely and hearty and then he gave us a choice between chicken in peanut sauce, fish, sausages or meatballs. Food is made to order and is excellent- very generous portions as well. We were a group of 3 and all chose something different - the chicken, the sausages and the tilapia were all beautifully cooked and came with lovely salad, black beans and rice. You will not leave feeling hungry! And then we were offered a drink- either tea, coffee or soda- as well as cookies for dessert. The best thing about this meal was that 3 courses and a drink only came to $8 each! We have never come across such incredible value for money.
