I was pleasantly surprised by the rich flavors in the broth, not only for a vegetable soup but overall. I will definitely return.
My friend and I wanted to eat a quick meal before going to Big in Japan (bar down the street). My friend ordered a miso ramen, and I chose the spicy beef one. The ramens weren't bad, which is why the good ratings for this restaurant on a Saturday night was the food quality. My downside was not with this, but after one of the waitresses sat us down, the serving staff took a long time to get our order in or even get us waters. It's Saturday night, so this is common, but after 20 minutes we finally get noticed and get our waters? It's not a big place...but we were only there once, so I leave it to the benefit of the doubt.
This restaurant (Ramen Ya) is also known as Kurobuta Izakaya based on the signage and menu. We enjoyed a quick lunch here since we were in a hurry to get to the airport. Food was excellent and prices were very reasonable (since Japanese restaurants tend to be a bit expensive in most places)
The place is dark and tiny but the ramens in there are so so good ! I never miss an occasion to go ! Be careful it gets crowded really quickly.
I had the udon noodle soup with grilled chicken fantastic soy based broth with flavourful meat and perfect noodles! Service was friendly and prompt. Atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Good authentic Japanese food I heard other customers say they'd be back to try more dishes too! Some dishes on the menu are whilst others are . The dish below was just under 14 which I found to be quite reasonable.
