Now, because the pieces are quite the round tournedos....I think a little more cooking would have helped, found myself chewing endlessly for some of the tougher game meat. Will go back to try out something different from the menu next time.
This restaurant was a pleasant surprise for me. The restaurant was about half full at around 6pm. My husband had the two wild game medillions and I had the seafood filo pastry (it was more like seafood on a bed of rice with two small pieces of filo pastry but it was very delicious. Service was old school and this is just what I like, not overly friendly. They accomodated my young daughter with some salad and pasta which was at a reasonable price. With the price we were paying, I think it was very reasonable.
I ate here for the first time in 2004 and loved it. White linen tables next to windows overlooking the street and a sense that you are somewhere in France, even though I have not been there yet. Just the sense that it has a European flavour and atmosphere. The menu is wild game from Quebec and also has standard fare you might expect in a French establishment. Beautiful food, pleasant service and a romantic setting. It's in the Old Port area but the prices here are reasonable and worth it if you want a change of pace that you will remember.
My mom and I love this place, wehad great service and the sangria was really great and properly made, not orange juicy and dirty cherries with boxed wine. It was pricey but worth it
Excellent. Quality was higher than what we expect from a restaurant in the middle of the tourist district. Tapas menu was a hit. The best thing on the menu was the grilled sardines. You can eat most of it, bones and all. The char flavor from the grill was prominent and welcome. It's definitely pricier than local restaurants, but this is a great selection if you find yourself in the middle of the tourist district and need to find a place for a dinner on the terrace.
