Resto-Bar Chops - Montréal

I would never eat at this restaurant again due to the horrific service. The food was overcooked and way too expensive for the taste.

The food and service at this restaurant were excellent. We also sampled their sushi, which was delicious. They had themed rolls named after Pfizer and Moderna, which we tried and enjoyed.

I am not the only one who is disappointed with the service at Chops. Our waitress was pleasant for the first hour, but we waited a long time for our expensive steaks. She claimed there was a large party downstairs causing delays, but that was not true. She completely forgot about our order. The manager never came to check on us until the restaurant was less busy. We sat for a long time with our children and no food. The only person who came over was our waitress, apologizing that our steaks were not ready. Instead, we were only offered desserts, which we didn't even eat. For the high price we paid for kosher steaks in NYC, we expected much better service and quality. We were very disappointed and will not be returning. It was a costly meal that simply was not worth it.

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned. But when I go to a restaurant, especially one like chops, where the prices are quite high, I expect to be served by someone who is friendly and wants to offer the great service. Boy, I have a wrong... number!!! Not only was this waiter a sour pus, he had no interest in offering a good service or ensuring that our food orders were satisfactory. I'll never go back to chops, nor will anyone from the different people who were with me. Usually I would have stood up and said something to this person and/or even see the manager, but my friends did not ask me. Somehow I'm done with chops. Ready as dinner!!! ps: to waiter: What's going on? You have a good job; an honest job, so why the lousy unignified unfriendly attitude?

It’s a rip off !!! Very expensive place. Very bad service ! The Indian waiter was constantly pushing us to order more and bigger plates which we refused . Was very expensive and on top of that they charge you a huge service fee on...the taxes . Very expensive and very medium food. Very bad service and waiters!! Avoid at any cost !!!
