Usually a kilo of wings is a huge amount of food but on my most recent viist, we were given barely a half-kilo but charged for the full kilo. Even when I inquired I was told that we had received the full amount, no doubt about it. Well I know what was in front of me. For the price we paid and the slow service, Saint Sacrement is absolutely not worth it. Keep walking in either direction on Mont Royal and you'll be fine.
We went there for some drinks with friends and stood outside. That's a cool location. The blond short hair waitress with glasses was in charge of our section but seemed to be a bit bored every time we needed informations... All she wanted was us keep drinking, nice ... Before leaving I asked for water and she gave us glasses very dirty (cigarette's ashes sticked inside !), when I pointed out to her she said it wasn't her fault like we have to deal with it and didn't want to recognize her mistake but at the end she insisted on the fact that we HAVE TO leave 15% MINIMUM of tips, like she owned this ! We paid the amount asked but I said that it wasn't fair, she started being rude back to me and said "tu vas t'en remettre" can be translated as "you gonna recover from this"... I've been in a lot of pubs but never experienced this before ! The place is nice though and you should go there but don't be serve by this waitress if she's still have a job over there...
Seriously. Friend living in Montreal recommended this place because of itsnice atmosphete and great spaghetti. And oh yes, the spaghetti is insanely good!!
This may seem trivial, but based on the outside of this tavern I expected a cool and maybe a bit dark themed bar. The awnings are black, the logo has a cross in it, I kind of expected a chic goth bar. What I got on the inside was just an average, nondescript bar. While they do have a full bar, they don't really cater to mixed drinks or cocktails. They had mostly wine, beer, and cider. I can't speak to the food as they had stopped serving food at the time we were there. In a city with amazing bars, I'm sad to say, this one wasn't worth the stop.
Stopped by for a few drinks and snacks with friends. Great little terrasse on Mont Royal that was not yet full at 7:00 PM. Selection of beer was reasonably good and prices on drink were okay. Had a kilo of chicken wings in a fabulous sauce, and tortilla-like chips with homemade salse and hummus. Both items were excellent. While prices are not "cheap" they are pretty reasonable all things considered. The location, food and ambiance are great for a casual evening out.
