Contribuisci feedbackWe wanted to try something new and were recommended this restaurant. It was my children's first experience with Indian food and my 10 year old is really picky. The ambiance is comforting and inviting, clean deco, classical covers of pop music playing in the background. Very friendly and warm service. And the food... Wow! What a delicious surprise! My son went the safe route and ordered a Naan Chicken Wrap. It is so good my daughter is going back to have it for lunch! The Samosas are very tasty and not greasy. The Fish Pakora is delicious! The Zaika sauce is fabulous. The Chicken Butter Masala (medium spice), the Lamb Korma (mild), and the Beef Korma (hot) are THE BEST I've ever had. The rice is delicate and complements the meat beautifully. They boast the best naan in the city with good reason! The Mango Lassi is great! My children LOVED the Gulab Jamun w/ Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert. Everything about this place is delicate and beautiful. Up to now, I found Indian food to be too powerful for my tastebuds or that the spice overpowers the meal. Zaika's menu has found a wonderful balance with spices and tailors them to your liking. They offer authentic yet personalized cuisine. This spot is likely home to the BEST INDIAN FOOD in town!
C'était parfait ! C'est savoureux et le serveur très gentil et attentionné ! Le décors est beau et propre Il en vaut le détour !
Wow! What a great dinner I had at Zaika. I was walking through the Plateau the other day and had heard great things so I decided to give it a try. Definitely was not disappointed! I had the chicken wrap and was blown away! The na'an felt like it had just come out of the oven. All in all, would definitely recommend to a friend. It's extremely well-priced and you can leave feeling full for 10$ (or less!)
First Impression: Clean. You can tell that the staff and kitchen pay attention to cleanliness and detail. I have been to many Indian restaurants in Montreal and Zaika is by far my favorite. It has a modern interior so if you are going for a traditional cultural experience (Sitting on the floor, Indian flair, Indian music, etc.) this place is not necessarily for you. Staff: Extremely friendly, attentive and have a good knowledge of the menu. Their recommendations were great. Food: I am not one to write reviews for restaurants. However, the food was so tasty that I simply had to. I have been to the restaurant half a dozen times now and can say that I must have tried about half the menu. There is not one dish that I wouldn't recommend. I was skeptical at first about the sandwiches - trust me, these are a MUST TRY. Overall: This is my new favorite place to eat in the Plateau. You won't be disappointed.
Such a nice Space! Trendy and intimate! I used a friends recommendation and I was not disappointed. Lots of vegetarian options... I ordered the butter chicken and it was phenomenal! Extremely moist and I was able to customize the sauce for a Spicer version. The service was on point and staff were friendly and helpful with menu options. I will most definitely be back!
