My main course of fish was superb and my wife enjoyed the duck though found it was a little too greasy, which probably was just the Brazilian method of preparation. Only about seats or tables in a room where Brazilian items such as scarves, hammocks and small decorations were also for sale. Also there is an area opposite where tea and coffee could be taken. Good value meal with wine and happy to eat here again though for some the menu just might be too limited. The owner is a charming Brazilian and I guess has a French wife or partner. Definitely worth trying this for a different experience.
We went to lunch, it was my husband’s birthday michael. oba gave us in a wonderful meal, and a limoux blanquette as a gift. we believe that this restaurant and really special and exceptional. we recommend this little restaurant without hesitation. this restaurant gave...us the most amazing birthday meal on my husband’s birthday. wonderful food, and a present of a bottle of sparkling wine. we couldn’t have had a more delicious or enjoyable time. highly recommended.
This is a tiny room seats only) which in the daytime serves as a tearoom but also serves a limited menu in evenings. A single starter (green salad) with a choice of mains and desserts finishing with coffee or tea for Very pleasant owner who presides over everything from behind his laptop on the high counter at the back. Lost of South American crafts to look at. Bossa nova and samba music playing. The food was nice and the home made raspberry ice cream dessert was lovely. As a one-off it is well worth a visit.
Our evening meal in Obá was a great pleasure. The menu was limited but the food excellent and very satisfying. The restaurant is quite small, so it is a good idea to telephone in advance. There is also an interesting crafts shop to one side.
This must be the smallest restaurant in the Aude. It is run by a Brazilian couple from the Bahia. There is only room for at the most so don't go with too many. The food was extremely good with a Manioc starter and we...had Swordfish and rice and Prawns and rice in a very interesting sea food sauce based on coriander, Manioc flour and peppers with coconut milk; the fish and prawns were well cooked and we did not need to go for dessert. Good luck to the owners, you deserve to succeed.
