Bâton Rouge Steakhouse

This is one of those established gems in montreal. They have a great reputation and it’s for good reason. Personally, i can say it’s one of the most consistent restaurants that I’ve ever experienced in the city. I’ve been coming to Baton Rouge for many years. All for the chicken tenders. They’re satisfying every time and they never increased the price or downsized the plate too much. Service is always good and the atmosphere is always a nice stay. Please Baton Rouge if you’re reading this. A valuable opinion from someone that’s been dining with you for years. Never change, stay consistent and you will forever hold your position at the top.

Went for a family dinner on Thursday night with my husband and kids to the BT Decarie.Everything was great: portions generous, tasty and service was great. Jim our server was very courteous and friendly. Manager even came and apologized for the small delay in getting our order although it wasn’t a long wait. After that everything was fast and they made sure to make up for the delay a bit more than expected! Thumbs up for a service well done!

I always felt Baton Rouge’s burger is excellent. This location was frequented by George St-Pierre regularly before. I came for lunch with my daughter as we brought our Tesla to the garage. It was busy, the waiter was quick, not friendly but not rude. I had the Baton Rouge’s burger which normally is very good. But I’m very disappointed with it today, for a 20$ burger, the meat was dry, looks like it sat there for a while precooked. The waiter didn’t ask me for how I wanted the meat, guess he just assumed I want it super dried and well done. The fries are normally excellent as well but today they just look like yesterdays fries and the temperature proved it, lukewarm. With the turnover, I would expect the fries to be fresher but not at all. I will not be returning sadly. I have to find another place.

Our waiter was amazing and sympathetic. Our food was not up to standard at all. My boyfriend’s steak although cooked to perfection was extremely tough and extremely small. My salmon was so dry and was told we might be charged to substitute the rice pilaf for mashed potatoes. Kills me since any other plate you get a choice of. Do better.

Went with dh and my parents, good food had by all. We ate on the patio. I had the sea bass, dh had ribs with a lobster claw, dm had the Thai salad and dd had the grilled veggie sandwich with sweet potato fries. Service was friendly and professional, all food was very good, servings are huge, I would go back again.
