My girlfriend and i had been waiting to visit this place for several months but always happened to go there when they were closed. Today they weren 't and i 100% completely regret wanting to go here in the first place.Where to begin. The rude lady at the front counter wouldn 't stop asking if we wanted fresh quiche. I told her we just wanted pastries out of the front counter display. When I inquired about what types of pastries were in the case all i got for a response was danishes and stuff . And then when I was asked if I wanted anything else from the left side before we go in the right side is ridiculous. If I want pastries from both sides can I have them? Or just if I pick them RIGHT NOW? I may have selected more as they all looked yummy but the only specifics I could gain was that oneof the items was a custard turnover Come on, where is the sense of salesmanship? SELL ME on your products, or at least fake your interest in my order. Then came one of my favorite parts: the bill. $17.56 for a Danish, a croissant (plain) and a small breakfast bar. Wow $6 for a croissant is unbelievable. I can get better pastries for cheaper in OurayCounty, known for being more expensive. The Danish was yummy but nowhere near the $6 we were charged. Not sure how you justify charging the same price for a croissant as a fancied up Danish.Upon seating we quickly noticed that everyone else in the joint was checked on but we never were, once. The lady behind the counter came out and even asked the table next to us if they wanted fresh home made jam and we were just ignored.Long story short:Service-Awful and sort of obnoxiousFood-tasty but priced ridiculously high for Montrose.Environment-nice setting but I couldn 't wait to leave because th experience was awful. Avoid this place at all costs as will I..
I like going here because lf the local feel and character. The Food is great
Cute little family owned breakfast and lunch place. We stop for quick lunch. Not bad. The pulled pork and potato salad was good. The butter squash bisque has sweet corn sweet. Quite good
A MUST stop. Amazing cherry flipped pies. Janet was so kind and gave a great recommendation. The pie was still warm when we got it from being fresh out of the oven.
