Costes - Montségur

Bad conduct, the restaurant manager disrespects his customers and behaves in a humiliating and disrespectful manner. When we arrived the restaurant was not full at 00:30 and because we arrived two more people than the reservation did not allow us to stay and kicked us out. I have been to many prestigious places in my life and I have never encountered anything like this.

Merci Patrice This is a charming, well run restaurant in the heart of the village. It is a great place for lunch after climbing Montségur and being immersed in the history and energies of this sacred spot. Our group liked the vegetarian and vegan options, appreciated soya milk cappuccinos and the good selection of organic sulphite free wines on the menu.

Arrived for lunch on Thursday. Despite there only being one other couple it seemed to be a problem us choosing a table in the shade. After having ordered food and been served drinks, we were informed they didn't accept cards only cash or cheques. We only had enough cash to buy a kid's meal for my son which seemed to annoy the chef (who we assumed was the owner . There was another family who faced the same issue. Another couple arrived who were similarly told they couldn't sit in the table they wanted to (despite it not being reserved and there being plenty of space on the terrace. The waitress was doing her best but the chef (owner? was being really difficult and frankly made us feel quite unwelcome. My son's meal when it arrived was very good and the rest of the menu looked good (despite there being several dishes unavailable . The food quality pushed our overall rating to 3, otherwise it would have been 2 given the overall welcome. Not sure whether not taking cards was a temporary glitch, but it would seem strange for a hotel restaurant not to take them! TAKE CASH JUST IN CASE!

Établissement récemment ré ouvert par un nouveau propriétaire. Ambiance chaleureuse, humaine et conviviale. Les plats proposés sont simples, équilibrés, copieux, frais et très goûteux. Rapport qualité/prix plus que correct. La terrasse ombragée permet de passer un bon moment. Je recommande cet établissement...

We only had lunch there but such a relaxing, peaceful atmosfere. Although some things were not available, what we had to eat was exquisit.
