Ended up in this place just in time to witness the chef yelling at a young front of house member. Too busy to mention such dreadful behavior to the manager. Food I had the crepe was dry and over rated salad was nice. One star is for the chef.
They serve good coffee. But beware of the eggs Benedict. Although the ingredients are fresh and yummy, the servings are incredibly small. Also, the sauce is quite vinegary and overly fatty.
Ordered the two specials, chicken pie & salad - just perfect for me, and my husband had the hamburger with chips & said, also really good.
We had the mango&chicken salad and the chicken club burger. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The pricing was good for the portion size and it was nice to get both chips and a side salad with the burger. Note that there are no close toilets which is strange.
If you are in Moore Park at 8:30 am as we were, needing to kill some time before the Cricket at the SCG, Jamaica Blue should top the list for breakfast. Between us, we had a Jamaica Blue Big Breakfast, Avocado Smash & Maple Bacon, Sourdough Crumpets with Poached Eggs and Salmon and Eggs Benedict (see photos). All were well cooked, the ingredients fresh and tasty. The prices are right in the middle of the range in Sydney for these breakfasts (see photo). The coffees were good, and the iced coffee was imaginatively presented in a jar with a handle (see photos).Unlike other reviewers,we found the service was quick - no line up to order, and the food was on the table within 10 minutes. The staff were friendly and happy to help (see photos). We sat outside, and enjoyed the fresh air.You will find Jamaica Blue on the main retail strip at Fox Studios, not far along from the theatre. The car park is behind.
