Cubby Hole - Moorestown Township

It's disappointing because I genuinely want to support small businesses, but the wait time was simply unacceptable. At one point, I even considered just leaving, it was that bad. The waiter lacked basic customer service skills; there were no apologies, empathy, or acknowledgment of the long wait. The problem seems to stem from a very small kitchen that can’t handle the number of guests being seated. In the end, the server vanished, and another woman dropped off the check, saying, "your server is busy." This all points to poor management. I'm not sure if a manager was even present, because if they were, you'd expect them to check on tables. I will say that the kitchen staff was working hard the entire time, clearly trying their best to keep up with the orders.

I had breakfast there this morning, and it was delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly. I will definitely be returning.

Dining outside was pleasant, but unfortunately, we didn't enjoy our breakfast. The omelette and potatoes were overly drenched in butter or ghee, and the rye toast lacked any butter. Perhaps the pancakes and French toast would be an improvement.

Quick and attentive service despite a busy Saturday morning crowd. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Enjoy!

The first time my mom and I visited the Cubby Hole, we had a nice experience. I don't really remember the food, but my mom's coffee was made to perfection. Today, I was really put off by the hostess. Despite the line of people waiting, she ran around wiping down tables without excusing herself or even looking at the line of people patiently waiting. When she returned, there was no greeting. She looked annoyed and stressed out. She seems quite young and inexperienced, but I'm surprised she wasn't trained to be welcoming considering her position as hostess. With the multitude of dining options, why would anyone choose to go somewhere you feel unwanted from the onset? I'll go to Turning Point instead where the service is far superior.
