We had a very special birthday dinner in the jenny lake lodge, where the host kindly showed us a table with an enormous view of the mountain. the five-course-prix fixe menu was all delicious and was served in a beautiful tempo. best was the service really attentive and friendly and made the night very special. many thanks to caroline, our server and the rest of the staff!
Absolutely phenomenal experience. it may seem expensive at first, but its stay in the jenny lake lodge includes a complete breakfast and a 5-course phenomenal meal every night, free rides, bikes, kajaks, fantastic location in the grand teton bergen and hiking / hiking trails right in front of the door, which, if added, make it a true value and a once in a life experience. the cabins are very rustic, but this is part of the wonderful charms lodge and total stay. the service and the personal could not be more beautiful or better or more accommodating. we loved our stay and hope to return to the jenny lake lodge in the near future.
Great Location, Great Room, but mostly what made it best, was Great Staff in all areas of the Lodge. It was the 5 year anniversary of when I proposed to my now wife at Jenny Lake and you all made it very special for us. And would like to give an extra shout out to Ruby, Emma, and Toni that really went the extra mile to make our trip so special and memorable.
We decided to treat ourselves to something purporting to be a dining experience above the norm. We were staying at the Jackson Lake Lodge and reviews of the food there had not been good. We knew there was a 5 day rotating menu which we viewed on line. We'd mentally chosen our favourite (and worst) and crossed our fingers for the one we liked best. And wouldn't you know it, the evening we dined, our least favourite menu was served! We were disappointed but after the pleasant waiter had described the menu in very flowery prose, it did not sound too bad! Each course was minimal, more like a taster really which made a change after the mountains of food we'd been previously served. It was all okay but nothing exceptional. The soup was a disappointment thin and watery and the hot dishes were only luke warm. The price had risen 15% to what we had expected which pushed it over to the totally not worth it category. We had made the effort to dress smarter but it was unnecessary. There were only a few smartly turned out tables. The rest of the diners looked like they'd hiked over the Tetons to get here.
