The food was delicious and was quick. The service was also good, if you're starving for some good food heres where you go.

An old style family owned restaurant. No frills but a very friendly staff (Laney our waitress was so sweet) with a wonderfully, varied menu. The food was tasty and quite affordable. If you are in Morehead City and want a hearty meal, go to Cox Family Restaurant!????

If you like southern home cooking you owe it to yourself to try this restaurant. The hamburger steak is definitely fresh and hand formed. The onions seem to be sautéed to some extent before they hit the grill because there was no crunch, just good onion flavor and perfectly done. The fried okra was lightly battered and crisp. The gravy was the perfect consistency, smooth, rich and savory. The mashed potatoes flawless, well prepared and seasoned. And of course the rolls

Great family restaurant with down home cooking. We ate dinner here and then breakfast the next day. You can't beat the prices! Service was friendly and the vegetable plate was yummy. My mom got the squash casserole and it was probably most favorite thing I tried there. I had the cream chipper beef over toast for breakfast the next day and it was amazing! The other reviewers that said this place was fantastic did not get it wrong.

My absolute favorite diner in the area. I take all of my friends and family here whenever they visit North Carolina. I just love the environment, the prices, and the quality. You can?t beat the menu prices and everything tastes like a homemade meal. The breakfast is incredible. I?ve loved everything I?ve ordered here. The service is quick and friendly, too.
