Sugarloaf Island Bakery - Morehead City

I visited today hoping for some pie, but the only option available was peanut butter pie. I gave it a try, and wow, it was really bursting with peanut butter flavor! Fortunately, I also managed to get some cake and cream puffs for the holiday weekend. The staff's cheerful attitude made the experience even better, and the prices were reasonable too. I highly recommend this place, but if you have something specific in mind, like cherry or peach pie, it’s a good idea to call ahead and place your order. You definitely won't be disappointed!

Just left the bakery. What an amazing baker, he has been up since two this morning. If you are looking for a sugary no flavor dessert keep driving. It you want a delicious pastry full of flavor with a third of the sugar stop in and talk to Will. I wish he would move to Raleigh, he would be sold out every day within an hour. The best pastry’s we have eaten in a very long time. We had the blueberry cheese danish, key lime pie, pepperoni and cheese croissant and the Irish Cream cake.

So glad to have stopped in at this bakery on Valentine's Day. I got the gluten free Flourless Chocolate Cake and it was super amazing. Light, flavorful, rich... out of this world! Chris is a sweetheart and I can't wait to get back there soon.

The owner is super friendly, helped me out to the car with all that I bought. And I got a lot, because I had tried one of his cinnamon rolls a couple of days before.The cinnamon roll was delicate and doughy. The chocolate cake with a Bailey Irish Creme chocolate ganache/mousse on top, was smooth and delicious, and the carrot cake, was one of the best we’ve ever had. None of the items we’ve tried were overly sweet. You can taste the wonderful ingredients.We also got a pumpkin cheesecake and pecan pie to bring up for our Christmas celebration. While we haven’t tried them yet. I’m sure it’s going to be as spectacular as the rest of the items he makes.

If you've never had a good eclair, you absolutely must come try Sugarloaf Island Bakery! These are absolutely cravable! My new go-to Bakery.
