Customer service is fantastic, and the food is delicious!! I always get the yellow curry with coconut rice, and I cannot fault it! I've had many, including a few in Thailand, and this is hands down the very best I have had.
Spices and Herbs is a fantastic restaurant with quality tasty Thai food. Tum the owner is amazing amd always on hand to recommend a dish if you are unsure. They have plenty of vegetarian options and the home delivery is speedy and good value. Some of the best Thai I have had in Melbourne.
Had dinner with some friends at this restaurant recently and found the food to be delicious, especially the TomYum soup which was outstanding. In general the food was a very high standard and reasonably priced as well. One negative is its fully licensed, so no BYO anything. But their drink prices weren't over priced, so its no big deal. But don't expect an extensive wine list, because its pretty basic. The table service wasn't the best experience I've had, with the waitress rather rudely asking us to hurry up and order. After we placed our orders we found the waiting time for our first course to be excessive. You'd like to think that this wasn't pay back for the waitress waiting for our order. However there seemed to be more urgency placed on the phone orders and pickups by on foot customers than that of the eat in customers like us which probably explained our long wait. But when the food arrived, it was really good, so all was forgotten. So if you're not in a hurry and want to have a relaxing meal, then by all means eat here as the food it very good indeed and good value as well.
We've been coming here since it first opened and the food is always so delicious. Service can a tad slow sometimes as it is a small place with lots of takeaways and chefs sometimes have trouble keeping when it gets really busy (usually only on a Saturday night), but their friendliness and tasty food always make up for it. If you love Thai food, I highly recommend this place.
We dined on a voucher. Sat nite so very busy. Had to wait about 1 hour at table for glasses of water. Asked 3 times before we got it. Very very cramped space. Door at front and back left open too much. Freezing. Re entree, could not find out from them if it was vegetarian or not. Re main course, asked for stir fry to be very soft as sore tooth problem. Arrived rock hard. Sent back with microwave request. Came back just the same.Gave up at this point. Had to leave 90% of the meal on the plate. Food tasted nice but couldnt eat it. Full restaurant and only one girl serving. Poor thing was run off her feet and was pleasant, but could not understand enough english to interpret anything on the menu. Would definitely not go there again. Got home still hungry.
