La Lupita is a lovely, popular spot that is off the beaten path (not in a tourist area). It's bright and well-kept. Their menu focuses on Morelian foods like sopa de Tarasca, Corundas, enchiladas Morelianas, etc. It's a nice way to try a bunch of specialities at once, in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We liked the enchiladas best, and the buñelo was a hit for dessert. It's not the cheapest eats in town, but will still seem like a value to most travelers. We spent just under 300 pesos for two entrees, a soup, 2 waters, 2 beers, dessert, and hot chocolate. Our waitress brought food for our baby and we also were given a pan de muerto with desserts. We left totally stuffed. Quality is good. Perhaps the food is a touch better at some of the food stalls around town, but this was a fun and efficient way to try a bunch of specialties at once. Super family friendly with lots of high chairs!
It is a typical mexican food restaurant, buffet type. Many options for lunch and dinner. Some days the parking lot is full (they not have so many spaces). The food is tasty. Ypu may have enchiladas, café de olla, corundas, uchepos, etc Price is moderate.
