Previously, it sat in a shabby plaza near Alessandro and Perris Blvd., which seemed to be losing tenants left and right. The overall appearance of that plaza was one reason I never stopped in to give it a try. Now, P.I. Grill has moved to a much better spot at Southpointe Plaza, right at the corner of Alessandro and Heacock. I've visited three times recently and have come away feeling positive about the experience. P.I. Grill is certainly worth a visit. I've tried the Pancit with Egg Rolls and the Asado Wings appetizer, and both were delicious. This restaurant is a great choice in Moreno Valley.
The service was quick and welcoming, and the authentic dishes were amazing. This will definitely be my go-to place for satisfying my Filipino cravings! I can't wait to try everything on the menu!
I had a great experience at this Filipino restaurant last week. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice dine-in option. I ordered the lunch special for just $5.95, which also included refillable soda—what a deal! Since then, I’ve returned three more times. Over the weekend, I brought my family for a lovely dinner, and it was definitely worth the visit. We all really enjoyed the food and the service. I’m looking forward to many more delicious meals at this restaurant. Thank you, P.I. Grill!
The parking situation is a bit tight since they're now located near other open businesses. Inside, the restaurant is clean and tidy, but I'm not a fan of the dark brown floors paired with the orange walls. I thought I had reviewed their previous location, but it seems I didn’t. Previously, this restaurant operated in a cafeteria style, with pre-prepared dishes in warmers behind a plexiglass window. Now, they offer made-to-order meals. While I miss the visual aspect of choosing my food, it’s not a deal-breaker. The cashiers and servers are friendly and engaging. While waiting for my order, I noticed them interacting with dine-in customers and explaining menu items to those who were unsure. I had no issues with any of the staff. I ordered a variety of takeout to sample their new menu items, including lumpiyáng prito (listed as 'vegetable lumpia'), grilled eggplant, adobo sliders, and pinakbet. My wait time was around 30-40 minutes. I wish I had remembered to take photos of my meal, but I was too hungry that day. Overall, I thought the food was delicious. My roommate enjoyed the adobo sliders, and I loved the cucumber dip that accompanied them. I wasn't a fan of the white vinegar served with the lumpia, but the lumpia itself was tasty. The pinakbet was flavorful, though I'd prefer less bitter melon and more squash. I was surprised to discover that gourd vegetables could be cooked long enough for their tough skin to become edible -- all this time, I've been struggling to cut through squash! The grilled eggplant was decent, but you'll need to peel off the burnt skin unless you enjoy that flavor.
Authentic. This place is small but offers a wide variety of food, with different selections almost every day. I noticed that Kare Kare and beef nilaga are available daily. On weekends, they serve breakfast items such as tapa, longanisa, and tocino. They also have special dishes that they can prepare, like the amazing palabok. I'm grateful to my friends for recommending this spot to me. Thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
