Ono Hawaiian Bbq - Morgan Hill

I was really craving Hawaiian beef bbq and ordered takeout from here online. I crossed my fingers and said a prayer or two as I pulled up to the parking lot and saw through the glass that the place was completely empty. I entered the place and was greeted cordially and not by a I was having a great time and now you had to come and ruin it by showing up look that you get by most teenagers working in fast food on a slow day. I told her I was there for takeout and promptly retrieved the second of two orders they had waiting. The food was not as good as I had hoped, it was better! From the meat's tenderness, to the macaroni salad's creaminess! Hands down the best Kalua pork as well! Also, way better ambiance than L&L in Gilroy

For their reasonable price, the quantity and quality of food, I'd say they deserve 5 stars for sure! They prepare food when we call in, chicken donkatsu and fried shrimps were still piping hot and crispy when we brought them home. They got the rice right and we get plenty of vegetables! Their only short comings would be the sauces. Teriyaki sauce was too gooey for my taste and the other sauce(BBQ? lacked flavor. Oh, their macaroni salad is so addicting, the side portion was not enough, we ordered one extra serving :

Craved some comfort food and went here not expecting much. Wow. Their chicken katsu was super crispu on the outside, juicy on the inside. I'm usually picky about katsu sauce but this one hit the spot. And surprisingly enjoyed the macaroni salad (usually not a huge fan). Portion size, price and customer service were excellent too.
