Neat little place nestled away from the busy galleria. Lovely service and food was very nice. You get a lot of value for your money. But hard to understand the menu but the lady at the counter was very helpful.
My son is going thru a roti canal phase. Thought we would try Kumars. One word. Awesome. The roti were tasty and cooked just right. Much better than than Papa Rich and a few other places. The chicken and lamb curries were tasty and tender. My Briyani was also good. The only disappointment was there was no Indian Rojak so will have to be back another time for it.
We went to eat here with our large family today for the first time. It is actually called "Kumar's Curry House" now, but still halal certified. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was simple and delicious. All dishes were made freshly (except for curries which are more flavoursome if prepared in advance anyway), and bought to the table steaming hot. We could taste the individual spices in the noodle and rice dishes, plus a wonderful slightly smoky flavour from the wok. The sambal was fragrant. The murtabak and parathas were light and flaky, and the curries well-balanced. The tea was strong and sweet and milky. The meals were budget-friendly for our large family, with lovely fresh and unpretentious flavours. We left entirely satisfied, but not bloated (the portions were just right), and we will definitely visit again if we are in the area.
