Our first time here was pleasant, we came for lunch and the food was good. We liked it enough to book the restaurant for dinner for our anniversary of our first date, a few months later. I proposed to my then girlfriend the weekend of our anniversary and came here to celebrate our engagement. The staff was friendly and welcoming aside from our waiter, who seemed to not be particularly interested in serving us. He was short with us when we had questions and seemed to assume that we should have known about their specific menu. He didn’t ask how our day was going or anything of the sort, which was frustrating because we wanted to share the news of our engagement. We ordered, and he was short with us up until the point of our payment. When we paid, we also asked to get my fiancée’s coat back from the coat check; he had us follow him downstairs to finalize the payment, rather than bring it to us while we waited at our table. Some of these notes may seem nit-picky, but when someone is paying $350 for a dinner (before tip), proper hospitality is to be expected.

Went to Winvian to celebrate my birthday with my adult “ kids”. The ambiance is lovely, the food delectable and the staff delightful! Will be back for dinner!!!!

Winvian represents excellence! We had a wonderful dinner with a leisurely pace, attentive but non-intrusive service, and absolutely delicious food.

Couldn’t have been better. Wonderful place, food, service, ambience, etc. Gorgeous grounds spa, cottages, garden, pool and inn. One of my favorite places to visit.
