Upper Canada Village Food Service

I really enjoyed Pumpkinferno! During our visit, we stopped for dinner at the barn in the middle of the walk. I was impressed by how efficiently they handled the crowds, the cleanliness of the tables and area despite the busyness, and the lack of wait time. It was perfect for an event. The food was typical cafeteria fare and the staff seemed a bit frustrated with the crowds (which I can understand) as they focused on keeping things moving and quickly serving food without much interaction. I might opt for a different dining option next time, but it was a good choice for our friends with children as it was convenient and fast.

I visited this restaurant on Thanksgiving and enjoyed a delicious turkey meal with all the traditional fixings. The staff was friendly and attentive. My only suggestion would be to lower the prices of the side dishes and desserts.

There were four of us, all vegetarians, and we found some delicious vegetarian options at the restaurant. The staff was friendly and we really loved the cozy village atmosphere.

There are several food service areas at Upper Canada Village. One in the main entrance/reception building (Discovery Centre) one in the Harvest Barn and another at Willard's Hotel. The Harvest Barn and Discovery Centre are cafeteria style and serve a range of food and drinks...typical of parks and venues like this. Hot and cold items things that will appeal to both kids and adults. Nothing fancy. The day we were there the staff at the Harvest Barn said they served kids so expect it to be busy. After lunch they are still open and ice cream, drinks and meals are still available. Table seating and handicap washrooms are available in the Discovery Centre and Barn.

We visited the shop while we were there for the Festival of Lights during X’Mas !!! I guess most of us took this opportunity to warm up with peppermint hot chocolate and cookies after the Cold weather !!! Really enjoyed the cookies !!!!!
