Akita Express Japanese Grill

Yummmy foooooddddd! And they are not at all stingy with your meal of choice! I have found some restaurants lately are considering making your meals smaller and going up on prices due to the inflation! The reason why their line is so long daily is because this restaurant gives you exactly what you want and plenty of food for the price you pay! Check them out guys!! The food is great it never fails!! And the girls are very polite except for a couple of whom I?ve found to bevery rude and disrespectful! But over all the food is great! There are just a couple of the girls/servers or curbside that really need to have better manners! I do not want to blast names as I am unsure if the two still work there but I?mgoing tonight for my favorite meal!!

My husband and I were in town on business and we went here after the hotel clerk recommended it. I'm so glad we did !! Dining area was clean, staff was very friendly, prices were average, food was very tasty the portions were extremely generous !! In fact, hubby I could've shared a plate and still would've walked out full ! had hibachi chicken w/mushrooms ???? and he had chicken teriyaki. We will definitely come here again if we're ever in town !!

5/18, Try the steak it?s really good! 4/2022, I checked out this locally popular Japanese take out place and I am pleasantly surprised! I know Japanese food well and certainly didn?t expect too much from a restaurant in a small TN town. So I ordered the Hibachi chicken, see pic. The size is big (Huge actually) lots of chicken, mushrooms and carrots. Rice is also included. The sauce came separately and I like that. I only needed half of it and really enjoyed my dinner. Beaware that the line during peak time is very long.. I was told. Went back to try the Teriyaki chicken today.. sweeter this time. But wonder why the same source?

Stopped here from out of town on a business trip. Good food, friendly service. Would go back when in the area.

Disappointed. I've been here a hundred times and use to love this place. I've never had a bad experience until today. All the food use to be beyond amazing. Steak is no longer melt in your mouth tender. It's now tough, dry and was charred. Definitely not the same beef. Scallops didn't taste fresh like usual really fishy tasting) and the rice was different. I pray it was just a bad day and not the result of new leadership changing things. :
