Plenty of meat for my $10.99 BBQ rib lunch. Service is virtually non-existent and understaffed. The host, waiter, and bus boy is one person. I actually feel really bad for him. We waited some 25 minutes before we could get our lunch specials. My BBQ rib didn't come with a knife so I had to use my paws. Nobody replenished our water. Update. Tried this a second time and I had a much better experience. Lunch bibimbap came out in 5 minutes and I had plenty of water refills. Food tastes good and price is reasonable. Upgraded my review to 4 stars.
I'm so glad to see the ownership change for this restaurant. I stopped going to this place when it was called Asuka. Now it's called Haru and what a difference. First time, I went back was in December with couple of my friends for lunch and ordered Sushi combo #11. It was so good, I went back that night for dinner with my wife and went back few more times since. I highly recommend trying their beef short ribs and stone bowl bibimbap. My wife was just in love with the ribs, but stone bowl bibmbap was also excellent. I love the way they serve it on hot stone bowl which make the rice become extra crispy. I've also tried Yellow Tail, Salmon and Tuna sushi and some of their sushi rolls and you can tell the quality is much better now. If you are like me and stop going to Asuka, I would definitely recommend going back. You won't be disappointed.
This restaurant is under new ownership. We were frequent visitors before when they were Asuka, but we have been to the now, Haru, as they have changed ownership and they are amazing. First, I have to say that the service is exceptional. Much more than you would ever expect. The sushi is so authentic and fresh. There are several rolls that I would recommend including the Fireman's Special and the Haru Roll. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. Not only do they have sushi, but many types of Japanese and Korean dishes that are sure to please anyones taste. I also want to thank the staff for the most impressive and generous birthday celebration. This restaurant is a real gem!
If you are in the area and looking for sushi, I highly recommend this place! I've been here on several occasions and the sashimi are great cuts that aren't too skimpy. The sushi chef doesn't speak much English, but his 15 years of experience makes up for it. The Temaki (sushi hand rolls wrapped in seaweed paper) are very good too. Give them a try. Always satisfied with the sushi here.
Went there for lunch with a few friends. The lunch menu is great, I had a beef bulgogi bento. A surprising amount of surprisingly good food was the conclusion. Service was very friendly. I didn't like the iced tea (from syrup aparently), but I'm not going to knock back the number of stars just for that.
