Lil Hut Fish N Chips

Food quality had gone down. The seating is in the sun, no umbrella to provide shade. The prices are astronomical! The cashier is impatient, asking for a tip when no service has been provided is ridiculous. Honestly, what's the tip for? Paid $42 for chicken strips, clam chowder and small burger. No drinks. The fish burger was bland, no flavor. The chowder didn't taste fresh. The chicken strips were the only decent part.

Wow, good reviews and maybe it's when I went but clam chowder I was unimpressed, the squid tasted old and reheated. No plans to go back. There are other places a bit further down from here. Clam chowder, squid and chips, soda. $32. I asked for take out container to avoid the damn birds and wanted to charge extra 25c. Not the money but after those prices, really?

I had the fish and chips. Delicious fresh cod, good size pieces with fries (crispy) and tartar sauce. I was afraid since I can so late in the afternoon before they closed that I’d get my stuff cooked in old oil. But, it was good. Chased it down with hot chocolate before my chilly bike ride back to camp. Would come again.

Great spot to get takeout fish chips. Good value and lots of dockside seating! Watch out for the feathered food bandits!
