Harada Japanese Restaurant Sushi Bar

The restaurant boasts a fantastic location on the Embarcadero, with some tables offering stunning views of the Bay. It serves authentic, high-quality, and fresh sushi alongside traditional Japanese cuisine, all within a serene and quiet atmosphere that stands in stark contrast to the surrounding crowded tourist locations. One of the highlights is the Japanese hot pot; I absolutely love Shabu, and this place does it excellently. The ingredients are fresh, the meat is top-notch, and the portions are generous, complemented by excellent dipping sauces. The sushi combinations are exceptional—every time I visit, I'm never let down. Each piece of fish is perfectly prepared and incredibly fresh. While the prices are on the higher side, the quality justifies the cost. The service is also outstanding—very professional and prompt.

Since September 24, 2020, the restaurant has been open for dine-in seating. I enjoyed a lovely dinner with prompt and friendly service. While the prices are on the higher side, they are reasonable considering the quality, particularly the seafood. The menu features a variety of authentic dishes, including several I had never encountered before. I recommend opting for one of the combo meals or a set dinner. I also appreciated the beautiful view of the Embarcadero and the bay while I was dining.

The food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. We particularly enjoyed the sushi, which was very fresh. The rice was also fresh, unlike in some larger restaurants where it's made hours in advance and tends to be overly sticky. The restaurant has an elegant decor and the windows create a romantic atmosphere. The prices are reasonable. This place is recommended for adults and small groups, and the showboat is perfect for four adults.

I had an amazing lunch here. The wasabi and sushi was fresh, and staff very friendly. We will return soon!

My second visit was just as amazing as the first. The seafood always tastes fresh. Portions are not very large, but I really believe the quality of the seafood makes up for the quantity. The caterpillar roll never disappoints!
