It was super juicy and delicious. The turkey sandwich was okay. I bet it would be better with a different choice of bread. The flavor was still good. The bread was thicker though. The coffee was good too!
A delightful stop for lunch. A truly special BLT and honey infused latte. Strongly recommend!
This place has my heart. Very cute and well maintained local coffee shop. The staff is very friendly, the food is nice plus the atmosphere is best. You get to enjoy usual restaurants like tables, plus sofas around the fireplace, a quiet library space, fun kids room, a piano and guitar to play! We loved this place. Free and Very CLEAN restrooms available. Free wifi, Free parking available on the streets but may be a bit difficult since the place is in downtown. Food quality: 5/5 Value for money: 5/5
Stopped on our way to Mt. Rainier and everyone in our group loved it! There weren’t a ton of options for breakfast but I wanted to try everything. The coffee/espresso was also some of the best I’ve had
This restaurant is a little gem in the middle of nowhere! On our drive to Rainier, we wanted to stop somewhere for dinner and decided on Morton because there were a few more options that would be open within our travel time. We decided on Rivers as the ambiance looked interesting and they had decent reviews. I think they need more better than decent reviews because we loved this place! The lady at the bar was the server and the only person in the cafe. So we pretty much had the whole cafe to ourselves. The menu is limited but if you like typical American fare (burgers, sandwiches, salad, fries), you will NOT be disappointed at all. We ordered the B l a t and the black and bleu burgers. They have an interesting way of describing the burgers on their blackboard pictorially. It took us a minute to decipher the pictures. The burgers were HUGE and excellent to taste! The meat was perfectly cooked. The accompanying chowder came in a gigantic cup and was absolutely delicious. The steak fries were excellent. Our cider and beer choices were fantastic too. A note about the decor: the entrance leads into the bar area which reminds you of a small western town with wooden seating. The transition to the bistro part of the restaurant has a kids area which is simply adorable. Then you have a nice couch with a guitar and a fireplace that is reminiscent of a comfy living room. The bistro area has benches and chairs and is super airy and spaced out. We loved it! I think the bistro is busier during the day. I wouldn't think twice about coming here if you're passing through Morton and need a place to grab a bite or a drink.
