La Station Des Sports - Morzine

We came here several times on our summer trip to Morzine. The food is excellent value great tasting food and inexpensive. Service is great too. The food comes quickly and they are very flexible with the menu. We changed what was in the menu several times and they were very accommodating.

We used this small café a year ago and although the name (and ownership) has changed, the cook and the atmosphere has not. As last year, we visited this small café 5 or 6 times. We no longer bash the pistes all day so we do not need a large meal at lunchtimes so a small baguette, burger, or just a plate of fries or salade verte to share is all we need (often in combination). As previously, these were presented to us piping hot (where applicable) well cooked or prepared and delicious. Sharing dishes was no problem to the café at all and they were always ready to accommodate us. Good value as well. We intend to return.

We were in Morzine/Avoriaz for a short pre-Christmas ski break. We took the approach of skiing straight through until mid-afternoon and then returning to Morzine for a late lunch. The Station des Sports is ideally placed in the centre of town near the ski bus stops and the Super-Morzine lift. Friendly welcome and decent portions of filling food (including a good, and interesting, vegetarian salad). Nothing fancy but it does what it does well. Seemed to be popular with both locals and visitors.
