Bella Italia - Mosbach

We visited bella italia and noticed some signs of dishonestness. eating was okay except espresso. first we waited too long for an almost empty restaurant. we noticed that the owner of beer pours from bottles and glasses back and forth, a personal mixture. the drink served as a coca cola from a bottle with an orange cap, maybe lidl cola? espresso was lame, not properly made or maybe from cheap material. the reception we got had no VAT number. the owner claimed that they can only accept cash and no cards. I repeat: he insisted not to have a credit card payment option. the bill was 54 euro, we gave him 60 euro, and he had to go back to the counter for our change, six euro. If they have a bill of 54, they will keep safe enough change with them, unless they try to pull a stunt. When he came back, he began to talk about Greek economy and other triviale things. we have given him attention, and not even he has our change in his hand. he didn't even have it with him, we decided not to ask for the change, but go and write the truth check. we are sure that no VAT has been registered for Germany, and the substances are not what they should be. so strong advice to avoid, and when they go, they ask to see that they get what they order.

Guiseppe is a great host. serves good food and good talk. large selection of authentic Italian foods. very nice place, easy to walk and friendly.

I was recently in mosbach on the business and my associate and I tried bella italia after reading the reviews on this page. it didn't disappoint! we loved it so much that we ate the half of our dinner there. the scallopina salimbocca with penne and the. huhn parmesan were both incredible, and the portions were huge. we also enjoyed the pizza prosciutto very much. Flapping from really good regional wein (moltepulciano and bardolino were delicious and very affordable around $14. the owner is the most beautiful man and the restaurant has a small town, authentic feeling. I would recommend it to everyone! if they don't speak English or German (as we will navigate them a bit the menu, but just select something and I can almost guarantee it will be delicious:

I only ate the ice cream, but after the first time, we can back for more every single day we were in town. Very good ice cream and I am picky about my favorite dessert!

Beautiful restaurant where the owner still cooks himself. genuine Italian food. friendly service, very good value for money.
