The guy taking orders was whispering into the mic to where you could not hear, or understand anything he was saying. When we finally got our food, it was not very fresh and half of our fries were missing. This is far from the first time the experience has been like this at this restaurant. We used to love Wendy’s which is why we keep trying but maybe it’s our fault for keep coming back. This one probably just needs to be shut down.
From the drive thru my limited sight saw that the back of house was very clean for a fast food restaurant. However the big wendys street sign was turned off and there was still over an hour left from the internet stayed closing sign.
Kayla is so sweet, 5 employee... 7-12- '23 Just got the Strawberry shake today for the win, yum yum
We used to love going to Wendy's, but the last three times we've been in, the food has been very subpar. Cold, missing items, etc. Then this last time, we ordered the breakfast chicken sandwiches and the chicken was raw. Not only pink, but still cold and slimy. It was awful. The staff was very appalled and gave us a refund. No issue with their service, I just think there are some standards lacking when it comes to making the food, and as a result, we will not be back. Food safety, and raw chicken in particular, is no joke.
Good choice if you 're Gluten Intolerant. They never even question me when I ask for a lettuce wrap. I don 't know how common it is for people to get a lettuce wrapped burger from a fast food joint, but there are others companies that will straight up refuse to remove the bun. The last time I went to McDonald 's they refused to give me a burger without a bun, and they don 't have lettuce. I 've been able to get Burger King to give me a bunless burger, but they question me every time. Wendy 's seems to actually train their employees so when someone makes a special request they respond the same as if you were to make a typical order. I 've never had a Wendy 's employee say wait, so you want a burger... without a bun? Really? Other than Culver 's or Chick-fil-A, who offer Gluten Free buns, Wendy 's is definitely a great choice for fast food if you 're Gluten Intolerant. Their fries are pretty safe, but it depends on how intolerant of gluten you are because they use the same oil for everything, and their fries are gluten free up until they cook them.
