Afous Moroccan And Spanish Tapas

This is truly the best Moroccan experience you can find in Australia. The owner, Omar, is an incredibly humble and welcoming host. He consistently provides outstanding hospitality and has upheld the quality of his restaurant throughout the years!

What a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, high-quality, and beautifully prepared. However, what truly stood out was the exceptional service, which is somewhat rare in Australia. When my husband made the reservation, he mentioned that I’m vegan, and the staff took great care to show me all my options. They even made some modifications to their dishes to ensure I had plenty of choices. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance, and the atmosphere is simply wonderful. I highly recommend Afous; it’s one of the best places I’ve visited in Sydney!

Afous is a delightful restaurant run by a wonderful family who welcomes everyone with open arms. I highly recommend letting them create a menu for you, so you can enjoy the best dishes they have to offer. We started with some lovely appetizers and tapas, with the prawns, mushrooms, and Halloumi standing out as the top choices. While the calamari was somewhat bland, it was beautifully crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. For the main courses, we chose fish and lamb tajine (as shown in the picture), and our party of six was evenly divided on which was better—they were both fantastic. Plus, everything is halal, which is an added bonus. We visited on a hot and humid evening, and it would have been nice if the air conditioning had been on. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful evening overall.

What a sensational experience!! Walked in to find the friendliest and most welcoming staff. We didn't even look at the menu, as a group we asked for them to serve us their recommendations and oh my gosh we got the most amazing food. The fragrances coming from the food was mouth watering and every bite was better than the last, drinks were constantly topped up.. did I mention how amazing the staff are?! There was nothing to fault about this amazing restaurant.. do yourself a favour and book now!!

I cannot express enough how much I love this restaurant. Exotic and aromatic Moroccan dishes that were so delicious, heartwarming services from the owner, and nice view and ambient atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone searching great dining experience.
