I decided to try this restaurant for lunch today and ordered the Bobby Rai burger with fries. It was tasty, but honestly, $15 for a burger, fries, and sweet tea? No way! This place is in Moulton, not Bridge Street. They really need to offer a lunch menu with some discounted options like what I had. I wouldn't pay that much again for those three items. Not having a lunch menu will hurt this place in the long run, and it seems to be already happening—my co-worker and I were the only ones there at 1 p.m. on a Friday.
The food was excellent, but it was karaoke night, and the music was extremely loud. I’ve been to the Madison Station in Madison, AL, on karaoke night, and the atmosphere there was much better. Additionally, Bobby Rai's several booths were a bit small (I'm a larger guy), and the arrangement of five tables pushed together—two in one group and three in another—felt odd. I think the tables should have been a bit more spaced out, as many people, myself included, prefer not sitting right next to strangers. This is especially true when alcohol is involved. I suggest spreading the tables out a little more; they can easily be pushed back together for larger groups. Also, consider turning the music down a notch. Loud music is fine, especially in a bar, but when people are singing and it sounds more like a bunch of cats yowling, it might be better to lower the volume just a bit.
Great little place in a great little town. We lucked up on karaoke night and enjoyed it!
Tina harville and her crew never disappoint. The pizza is the best around.
