On our way back from San Antonio and decided to take the extra time to visit this place and it was worth it. Nothing fancy, but the food and service were great.
Another fantastic meal! The blue cheese burger is delish and the steaks are perfect. Save space for the giant cheesecake and chocolate lava cake (get both). Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly. My child even ate her food.
We had a 5 star experience here and will definitely return. We especially enjoyed the taco soup and sautéed mushrooms.
Made the 1:20 drive from Katy and left full and satisfied. The drive was easy and good scenery, and the restaurant has a lot of charm and history. The soup was very good and unique, I added egg and bacon to my salad and glad I did. Ribeye had good flavor, it came out a little undercooked but was easily fixed, the baked potato was good with plenty of toppings. Daughter had the pasta with Alfredo, she didn't really enjoy it. A friend had the prime rib, he thought it was salty but good, green beans were good especially those onions. It wasn't the best road trip steak but would definitely return! Also, prices did seem a tad high.
