Cook Out - Mount Airy

Cook Out is one if our favorite places to stop as we travel down south. We love the options and if you haven't checked they have lots of milk shake choices. The milk shakes are thick and absolutely delicious. If you order a meal, you can substitute your soft drink for a milkshake with a little upcharge. Definitely worth it. My husband loves their tea and over half of my crew loves the cheesy bites. Wow. Definitely worth a stop for a meal or milkshake if you have never tried it.

Went to get a burger tray. And I asked for fries and hushpuppies. Do you see any French fries on this plate. And last time I was there. My entire order was wrong. The burgers wasn't dressed like I had asked. This is becoming a habit for this place. To get the orders wrong.

The cashier had a pleasant personality. We had a large order we wanted to change menu item. Our order was correct and very good

I am comparing this restaurant to the one in Wilkesboro. I ordered a 2-page combo with a chicken sandwich, nuggets, and white cheddar bites. I only got 3 nuggets and maybe 6 cheddar bites. The sandwich was so thin and wide, I'm not even sure it had chicken in it. My wife ordered a double order of fries, which would only be a single order in Wilkes. The fries had no salt and tasted like old oil. They were so bad that even my 3-year-old, who loves fries, spit them out and gave them to me.

I ordered a hamburger. The fries were very good. The burger was difficult to bite into. It did not have any cheese on it. Not what I expected.
