We placed our order over the phone and requested it to be very mild. However, when my partner went to pick it up, he realized that the address on the website and Google was incorrect - it was on the same road but across the street. I called the restaurant for directions, and they guided me to a different location down the road from the shopping center. It turned out that the restaurant was actually located in the parking lot of the shopping center, not on the road as mentioned. When the food arrived, it was cold and much spicier than requested - I couldn't even eat it. We will not be ordering from there again.
This restaurant in Mount Barker is always my favorite. The curries are a decent size and delicious! The aromas are so addictive and tasty. The staff is always very friendly.
Ordered takeaway last night and was bitterly disappointed. My beef dish smelt and tasted like goat which I cant eat. My husbands beef dish was less than average and both dishes were thin and oily. Neither of us were able to finish our meals. Our...friends chicken dish was average. Two of us have been sick today. The wait time was minutes and being a Friday night I believed they must have been flat out. When our friend went to collect the order he had to wait for ages before someone atended to him and there wasnt a soul in the restaurant. This place used to be amazing but not anymore. Don't waste your money here.
As newbies to the area I was eager to try the only local indian restaurant at the time, but found the food to be really really oily and lacking in flavour. The lamb in the Korma (my favourite dish) was dry and tough. The restaurant...itself was bleak felt very unwelcoming and cold. Was glad I was only getting takeaway... luckily there are more options locally now!
My family, two small children, and two couples visited Legacy of India last night. We were greeted warmly and our order was ready when we arrived, as we had called ahead. The food was delicious, although the ambiance could use some decoration or ethnic accents. Overall, it is a beautiful place and I would definitely come back.
