We recently had the opportunity to eat there for one of the special occasions they opened for dinner. That was a wonderful treat. I would highly recommend LeSorelle!!
Dinner was a fixed price with a choice of 4 participants. I made reservations in advance and selected the participants in advance. It was wonderful. We were not rushed, service was excellent. The soup (cratt/ice-chowder) was perfect and the salad. Simple, nothing great, but disgusting. The fish selection for me and my friend were very good, only enough of a serving of fish with the sides. I had room for Dessert (a choice of 4). The atmosphere was calm without feeling that we had to be reserved excessively. We left, very happy, enjoyed the various art on the walls and planned to return soon.
There is only one seat at 5:30. I took too long to recognize us. We sat on the veranda and waited 15 minutes. more on someone who served water and opened our wine. The crab and corn cutter is amazingly delicious! The salad consisted of fresh greens with cherry tomatoes and homemade balsamico vinaigrette, which was quite good, but the dish was too small. Arrivals arrived at 6:55-- a very long wait. We had to eat quickly, have dessert and go to the playhouse. If someone had waited for us from the start and moved things, it would have been more leisure. The food was very good, but I'm not sure if the stress is worth it.
We chose this restaurant to have a relaxing meal before the show in Mt Gretna. After that was the fixed seat time for a 7:30 show at 17.30. We were wrong. At 18:50 we had not yet received our entrees. After a discussion with our server, we were sure we had a lot of time. We ate fast, gulped Dessert, and at 19:15 we decided to leave cash better for review as we had no idea how long it could be to put it on our credit card. In addition, we were wedged at a table next to a group of 9 birthdays. It was so loud that we couldn't have a discussion for most of the time. So much for a romantic dinner for two. The food was excellent. Well prepared and high quality. We're not going back.
Excellent service, beautiful setting, good food, quiet atmosphere, reasonable price. BYOB. You must make a reservation 2 days in advance because they do not serve walk ins. If you are seeing a show at the theater, this is the place to have dinner.
