We were put on the list and told it was a 15 minute wait. After 35 minutes I went and asked about our table, she said she had one person in front of us and then she would seat us. About 10 minutes later they called us. As we walked in, just a few of the tables were taken. The restaurant was just about empty, I brushed food and trash off my seat to slide into the booth. We started looking at the menu when 2 servers walked past our table talking and giggling. The host was seating someone else and that guest mentioned that there was trash all in their booth. The host started yelling back at the guest telling them to just sit down and quite talking to her..... she repeated that about 3 times. At that point, we all looked at each other and decided to go somewhere else. As a paying guest, if your restaurant is trashed at the tables or restrooms, your guests do not have much confidence about your kitchen or staff cleanliness. My husband spoke to the manager on the way out to share our experience, he basically blamed it on shift change. As a past manager of a food place, when we had shift change our day shift made sure things were clean and swept up, everything was stocked and prepared the night shift for success. Shift change is NOT an excuse!
The croissants are to die for! I am a huge sucker for good bread to start, and the croissants are my favorite! I could eat ten without even thinking about it Now, my favorite appetizer is the cheese fries! It is so cheesy and good served with ranch. Again, I would have croissants and cheese fries, and be good! Stacie is one of the best servers I have ever encountered! I have only seen her there this last time I was there, but almost all the servers we have had have been extremely helpful and friendly. Stacie just went above and beyond the day we had her. Super friendly and personable. Meal-wise, I honestly haven't found anything that I love. I like the chicken tender salad, but other than that, I usually eat croissants and appetizers, and it is plenty of food. My son loves the fish tank in the center of the restaurant and the unique fan they have going--plenty of room for larger parties and intimate booths for smaller groups or couples.
202402161810 Strange. Friday night with no waiting? Well, it is raining. Anyway, we sit quickly Isaiah brings us Buttered Croissants, nice warm. The Painkiller is a favorite drink I 'm trying a Maui Margarita with a shot of cactus juice. Mmmm-buddy. One 's a tropical delight the other is a coconut pineapple drink. Look 'em up. The Monte Cristo is a classic favorite. Smoked ham, smoked turkey cheese, battered fried, with raspberry preserves powdered sugar. Boo-ya! Enjoy your meal in low lighting, high booths, funky spinning fans a big fish aquarium. Clean place, fine foods, good drinks Isaiah is great.
It took almost 30 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did, it was not visually appealing—it looked hastily thrown together. The steak was tough and overly peppery, the fries were undercooked and greasy, tasting as if the oil hadn't been changed in two days. My daughter actually got sick after eating only half of her fries and half of her burger. The staff seemed disinterested; no one smiled, engaged in small talk, or exhibited any sense of urgency. As a former server, I understand how things should operate, and this was far from acceptable. The restaurant appeared clean enough, but the menus were sticky and the plants looked like they needed water. Overall, it was just an unfortunate experience.
