I cannot say enough about their amazing menu (including an extensive gluten free menu) and how much I appreciate the sincerity and care they take for gluten free eating. Not only do they ask at the host stand if anyone needs a gluten free menu, but the servers are very knowledgeable, make extra notes about restrictions, and they even serve gluten free food on different plates taking extra care about preventing cross-contact. I have never felt more comfortable eating out at a restaurant as I have celiac and must take cross-contact seriously. They have dedicated GF fryers so for the first time in years, I was able to enjoy calamari and fried fish. Will absolutely be returning!

Since this company was purchased the new owners have ruined it

I am so disappointed. Tonight was my birthday dinner and this is now the second time my meal was ruined. I ordered curbside. Last time I was given the wrong desert..tonight I ordered well done steak because last time my medium well was seriously under cooked. I get home, and for some reason the sides were with the steak when they are always separated. It was RARE practically ground beef. The blood ruined the Mashed potatoes and green beans and the portions were not normal. It was like a spoonful of Mashed potatoes and triple green beans. Cheesecake was fine. But honestly my favorite restaurant and 2x in a row getting undercooked steak, and then horrible sides? I was refunded for the steak, I didn't bother trying explaining for the sides because the manager I was speaking with was in the kitchen and couldn't hear or understand me. Birthday dinner completely ruined for 70$ for 1 person unacceptable and disappointed..AGAIN

My husband and I were in Charleston celebrating our Anniversary. So we jumped in the car and set out to find food. Phone service was spotty but the search for food near me came up with Burton's Grill Bar American Menu 2nd on the list so, we went with it. OMG! What a great dining experience. I got the burger (no bun) and my husband the fried fish sandwich. Our server was awesome, and the decor and vibe of the place were top-notch. I can not say enough about how much I enjoyed the food, services, and atmosphere of this spot.
