We returned to the retreat around 1:15 am, and by 1:30 am, my husband and I started our 2.5-hour drive home. Upon entering our room, we discovered that both beds had yellow stains on them and the room had an unpleasant odor. To make matters worse, there were bugs everywhere—bugs in the shower, on the floor, and even in both beds. While driving home, I sent an email to the hotel about our experience. The next day, I made several phone calls to follow up. The hotel staff claimed that the yellow staining on the bed was due to rough water, but it was clearly spillage. They also said they couldn't address the issue since we hadn't called during our stay. As a pregnant woman carrying twins, I found myself in a challenging situation at 1:30 am, especially since the front desk had previously told me that no rooms were available in the waterpark. I was informed that upper management receives emails through their website, but I have yet to hear back from them. Overall, this place was unacceptable and dirty. When I asked the staff if the retreat was nice, they suggested that at least there wouldn't be any kids around.
This is a great little place for younger kids, but it might be a bit cramped for older ones. Our twins are 11, and they got bored fairly quickly, although they still managed to have some fun. The rooms were alright but definitely need some updates. There was a need for patching and painting, which was surprising given the $360 a night rate. This cost did include access to the water park, though.
Please be aware that the water park does not provide towels! We wish we had known this in advance. You can use towels from your hotel room, but be careful—if you take them with you when you check out, you'll be charged for them. I tried to reach the front desk, room service, and the water park for assistance, but no one answered. I was told at registration that towels are available for purchase, which was disappointing. Key points to remember: There are no towels available at the water park, and once you check out, you won't have access to towels either.
I had not been through since the upgrades, and now there is a totally boss store in the lobby with every candy and confection and gizmo one could desire. There is a display of Mexican candy even, like chili dried pineapple slices. My room was charming, and the new arcade was so future forward with large scale, high tech classics reinterpreted. I appreciate the fancy vending machines in the halls to grab an energy drink or cola at 3 am.Mini fridge, coffee microwave in room. There was a bathing suit clothes line feature you can dry your suit in room. Kids had a blast.
I’m stumped , I read the reviews beforehand.I was skeptical about going.When I got there.This place was awesome.Lifeguards we’re very active.Place was very clean.No problems at all!My grandson had a blast and I also had a blast!
