My favorites are the homemade chili and saganaki cheese, but they have plenty of other great options on the menu as well. I particularly enjoy dining on their outdoor sidewalk patio during the summer. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious.
This is the best hidden gem of a bar in town! The food is amazing, and the staff and atmosphere are even more delightful. It truly stands out as one of the best!
I've been visiting this restaurant for years, and it’s a fantastic neighborhood spot for a drink and a delicious meal. We’ve celebrated numerous birthdays and anniversaries here. Before the pandemic, it was the perfect place to pop in for a drink, and I truly hope that remains the case as life returns to normal. Be sure to check out Sam's Place for a great drink and a tasty meal in this beloved Mt. Prospect institution!
The owner, Al, along with the bartenders, are friendly and attentive. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of options like classic pub fare, sandwiches, fries, salads, steak, ribs, and more. The cook, Noe, prepares delicious food; I personally love the grilled cheese sandwich with fries. Don't miss the Greek fries—they're incredible! The salads are consistently fresh, and the homemade Greek dressing is delish. They offer daily specials, so it's worth checking the postings. On Sundays, while the kitchen is closed, they serve up a pot of chili with toppings like onions, cheese, and oyster crackers for patrons to enjoy. Sometimes, customers even bring food to share while watching the Bears games on Sundays. In the winter, they host a big raffle party for a children's charity, and during the summer, they hold a cookout. Trivia Night takes place every Thursday throughout the year. And one last note: the bathrooms are exceptionally clean!
