Jimmie Little Cafeteria And Student Union Building

This restaurant, which has apparently been in Jacksonville for some time, was unknown to us as we live 30 miles away. However, we decided to give it a try and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is small, with about 10 booths and an equal number of tables. They offer a wide variety of Mexican-inspired seafood dishes. The staff was friendly and the service was good. My wife and I shared the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail and the Big Mex Nachos. The shrimp cocktail was the traditional Mexican version but with a generous amount of large shrimp, which we both enjoyed. The nachos were different from what we expected, but still good. Overall, we plan on returning soon to try some of the more traditional menu offerings.

If you're looking for an adventure, this is the place to go. You won't find traditional Tex-Mex here. The unique food and bold spices offer a whole new take on Mexican cuisine. The staff is amazing and welcoming. We've visited a few times and each visit is always fantastic. We'll definitely be returning!
