During our stay in Dinner Plain, we decided to try out Tsubo Bar Restaurant, a modern Japanese restaurant. After some research, we opted for the omakase menu priced at $75 per person. Without knowing what dishes to expect, we eagerly anticipated our meal. We started with a warm miso soup, which could have been hotter and the enoki mushrooms were a bit tough. The potato salad that followed was simple and satisfying. The meal lacked excitement until we were served oysters with ponzu dressing and red sea lettuce. While the oysters were not the best I've had, they were still enjoyable.
This restaurant is absolutely incredible! The food was amazing. I am a big fan of Japanese cuisine and this place definitely surpassed my expectations. They offer very traditional yet unique dishes. I am looking forward to coming back for dinner tonight. As someone who considers themselves a Ramen Hunter, I found their lunch Ramen menu to be very intriguing and delicious. Also, don't forget to try the Blue Purity Sake.
I started working at Tsubo restaurant in August 2015. I have still not been paid for my last week's work at the restaurant as the owner Voltaire left without any notice after promising pay. I have tried every way possible to get in contact, through calls, Facebook to no response. Only to be blocked from Facebook. Shame on you.
If you like Japanese food you will became addict to this restaurant. They offer a lot of Asia dishes.
