We stopped in on the way through town and had coffee and toasted wraps. The coffee, food and service were first rate. The place is roomy clean and comfortable and service was what you would hope for in a country town. If you are stopping in Collonsville and are after a bite to eat and a cuppa you can certainly do worse then here.
Collinsville is a small mining town inland from BOWEN, a lovely one hour scenic drive south west. It leads through to Charters Towers or the Burdekin Dam if you're intending to get away from the coast for a while. The Coffee House does great meals, has home made pies and a good variety of other meals or snacks. Servings are generous and the staff are very polite. But the main impact is how incredibly clean the entire interior is.There is also a supermarket in town if you want to stock up for your drive.
