This is the perfect plact for game day sandwiches. Bridal teas. Luncheons. Church Functions. Any time you need to feed a group of people an order from Ousler's is sure to be a hit. We love to stop by on Saturdays and grab a few to pack for school lunches or take as a travel picnic.

I've never actually been to Ouslers, but I stumbled across their sandwiches at a nearby gas station once. I don't live near that gas station anymore, but I'll regularly make a trip there to grab some of their sandwiches. That's how good it is. You'll gladly go out of your way for that fix.

It's just a sandwich. Having grown up in the South my whole life, I don't quite understand the idea of the "taste of the old South." Maybe it's a flavor from an era before segregation, when diverse influences began to emerge? I've never really discovered it myself. Wealthy patrons seem to adore this place, but every average person who eats there seems to realize, for the first time, that it's just a sandwich. I've often thought that nostalgia plays a role, or perhaps it's a case of affluent individuals who never learned to cook, relying on their childhood memories. I respect that it’s a family-owned business and it has a certain charm, but how can one woman criticize someone saying it’s “fit for a 4-year-old” when I had a cosmic brownie in my lunchbox?
