Root to Tail - Mountain Brook

I have a pasta dish that was completely without taste and no sauce it was during the early break and the rotation for the post meal was very slow the restaurant was loud with just a few tables occupied

I hate to give poor ratings. We have been to Root to Tail several times and it began well but the food has lost its consistent good flavor. Service is always great. This time, we ordered seafood salad (meh) and a ravioli which was so al detente that it was chewy and inedible. To their credit, our waitress and the manager made a point to stop at our table in concern and to apologize. They comped our desserts as an apology which was very nice but would it not made sense to comp the dish itself?

Everyone was extremely friendly. Our server was helpful with wine and beer selections. The sea bass was the best I’ve ever eaten. Fair portion size. Beautiful, comfortable dining room.

The restaurant cannot really rate because we were closed there for our reservations and they for the business. very annoying in a holiday to end without space to go with their family. not sure why they do not have the idea to contact at least people with reservations. I think it's better that they're no longer in business when that's how they do.

As always was eating and service excellent. we will definitely return.
