Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe Mtn. Brook

When I was at the cashier, I grabbed a brownie and a cheesecake to order. The cashier abruptly took the cheesecake from my hands and placed it back on the display, scolding me rudely, "That is for display only! It's not for sale! Do you want one?" I felt embarrassed but told her I did, and went on to order my sandwiches. However, she interrupted me again, pointing at the cheesecake and repeating, "That is for display only!" She turned it around to show me the label, making sure I understood it wasn't for sale.

The grilled chicken with pesto/basil gyro was fantastic. The lamb salad was also delicious, and the fruit salad was a pleasant surprise. The service was good as well.

After a long day of doctor's appointments, I brought my Mother to this restaurant for a meal. My husband and I often visit the Colonnade location, so I was disappointed to find dirty tables, lazy staff, an unattended open office door, and a dirty restroom. My mother allowed me to order for her, and we chose the chicken breast meal with potatoes for her and rice for myself. We also ordered a whipped feta dip and soft pita bread as an appetizer. We had to serve ourselves and the overall experience was not up to par.

Food was good. Had chicken kabobs, salad, grilled veggies, hummus with pita bread. But it was like they were out of foil. The veggies were crushed into a tiny piece of foil as was the pita bread. Chicken was warm but the veggies were barely eatable. Maybe need a little training for preparing takeout otherwise good.

Really great food! We had originally thought this was a sit down, order and be served type of restaurant, but you order at the counter and they bring it to you: they have social distanced seating and great turn around time! We were not waiting long for our food! You also get so much food for the price. I would highly recommend!
