I'm just here and the meal was best moderate. I ordered my usual steak and eggs, but what I was served was a yellow baptism of a kind of mass covered with an even dark yellow plastic coating called cheese along a hockey puck that I ordered medium well, which was well cooked over medium. I don't know what happened here, but I guess I need to find a new place to really enjoy my breakfast.
I visited Perkins on a Tuesday evening around 6:30. The place was clean and had plenty of tables available, so we had our choice to sit anywhere. Our server was pleasant and patient, as my mother made alterations to her cheeseburger. I had the Eggs Benedict and my girlfriend had a chicken salad sandwich with a strawberry salad. I ordered a third Eggs Benedict, but the cook must have misunderstood, as I received an extra poached egg just plain. I did not request for the egg to be returned, as I was very hungry at the time and didn 't care. The two Eggs Benedict were atrocious. They were not poached as I requested, and the yokes were very hard. The ham was just a slab that covered 1¼ of the two muffins. In other words there was no separate slice of ham for each muffin. The chicken salad sandwich was very bland, but the strawberry salad was delicious. The cheeseburger was good, and it came with a generous portion of French fries. The slice of coconut cream pie for dessert was a disappointment, as it had very coconut cream, and was left half-eaten. Upon checking out, I was asked by a young woman operating the register about my meal. My complaint about the eggs was met with an indifferent, "sorry. ' Overall, the experience was such that I will not return. The fact that it was located next to two hotels yet was practically empty is very telling. The complacency of the staff (with the exception of our server) leads me to believe that there will be quite an attrition rate over time.
On the whole, I love Perkins but I will not be gracing this one again. The food was decent, once it arrived, but my food didn't get delivered until more than 30 minutes after I ordered it. It was a simple meal and people who ordered 15+ minutes after me were eating before me. They were busy but not slammed. Yes, I was hangry at that point but still managed to stay respectful. Not once did the server apologize for the error nor offer me anything for the inconvenience. Either way, you can count me out.
I called to order a pumpkin pie . She said there was no whipped cream on them so I asked her if she can add the whip cream.. she said yes. I show up 20 mins later , when it was my turn she said they were getting it ready now ?! … I get home open the box and this is what I see … are you serious .. glad I had some at home …..
As a food Health inspector, I must say this location is going down hill. How many times must people come back so you can do the same or worse. On two separate occasions in the same week, I had the worst experiences with the food. My first experience was with an omelet that had raw egg in it. I told the red haired manager and she said that’s normal. No offer to remake, no compensation. Two days later, I go for dinner, what I got and what I ordered was different. I ordered the pot roast stroganoff, what I got was roast beef cut into cubes, mostly gristle and fat. When I tried to say something to the blond manager she was all bubbly and made herself scares. It's nice to see that management is to make customers feel they are wrong, avoid situations and JDK Management ignores customers as well. I know with the slump of getting employees, and workers the valley is facing at this time, and the cost of food items but when things are wrong they avoid the situation. You need more action to fix them.
