Taberna Do Liberato - Moura

We stayed for 2; nights to see the sights. The views were fantastic! The Continental breakfast was very good. The room was excellent and clean. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay again.

Because the Taberna was reared so good on TripAdvisor we decided to have dinner there. The place is really small inside and has some tables outside. We decided to sit inside and got the last small high table. Inside we were the only foreigners and good some weird looks from time to time. We ordered red house wine and water and got bottled wine by the glass and a coke. The owner surved us but would not really want to speak to me (girl) even though I do speak Portuguese and orderd in Portuguese. We orderd shrimps and rabbit. As a started you get bread and olives. The food came rather quick and my shrimps were ok. Not the best I had in Portugal but ok. The rabbit was almost not eatable, only bones with little meat. And then you see how the Lokals at the table beside us got the same dish with nice big meat pieces and almost no bones.... Well, the shrimps were at least ok but nothing really special. Plus I can’t enjoy my food while the person you are with is constantly biting on bones and needs to pick them out of the mouth again. We wanted to leave rather quick after we finished the food to get out of this awkward situation. We really didn’t not feel welcome. Being ignored for another 5 minutes, even though we went up front like you normally do in such small places here. At least the bill was surprisingly low. In total almost 17€ was really low, but if we would have been really hungry and not just there for a small dinner, it wouldn’t have been enough. Plus the one dish with literally only fries that were eatable. Go there for the wine and chees or susages platters as a starter. But another wise rather go somewhere else.

I believe this is the best place in Moura to have a nice Glass or more wine, superb food, Sr Jorge is an amazing Host, for sure will take care off you...a MUST GO place...... ......Um grande Obrigado Sr Jorge.....ate Breve Joao Fran and little Nono :

Estivemos em março com um grupo de motociclistas MOTOVUELTA asturianos e o tratamento foi excelente e o proprietário uma excelente pessoa, o lugar é maravilhoso e a comida era boa.

Todos os pratos muito saborosos, mas a estrela foram os ovos mexidos.
