First of all, bring cash to this restaurant. They are still in the middle ages. The quanty of the food was a lot, however the quality was missing. I took codfish that seems that was fried with salt and my partner took a steak that was not bad although having too much fat. For the quality offered the price was too high, specialy considering the location and the country.
If you want a posher type of restaurant, this is the one for you. Menu is typically Alentejano, but better waiter service and food is excellent, as is wine. Need to reserve on Sunday lunchtimes - packed out.
Even though no one here spoke English we immediately felt welcome, everyone did their best to offer outstanding service. The food was typical Portuguese, basic but very good and we enjoyed it very much. People complaining about not being able to use their credit cards probably have no idea where this place is located. We are here in the countryside, very rural Portugal and definitely not Lisbon, so before traveling think about it and the consequences. If you do so you will certainly have a good time amidst many friendly locals who come here to meet and eat. We would definitely visit again!
