Undoubtedly one of the best Asam Pedas in Muo. This is very authentic witu a fishing village ambience in a corner of Parit Jawa. Thanks for the experience
Great place. Had asam pedas mayong fish with lokan fried chili. Wonderful. Not spicy, simply nice for children (although wish for spicy) and not salty. Like the star fruit juice so much fresh, ordered 3 glasses. Will be back soon.
There is an angry debate about the state has the best Gulai ikan Asam Pedas (Sour Spicy Fish Curry); Melaka or Johor. It is somewhat unfair to compare the two because it is a comparison between green and red grapes. In any case, in this restaurant came in a place known for asam pedas and ordered the Ikan Merah (Red Fish Grouper) asam pedas. The fish is fresh and firm with the engraving more towards Sauer than his Melaka cousin. The engraving is also a bit more watery. I personally prefer the Melaka variety as it has more body and depth, but again it is personal preference. Now I have to describe the ‘Lokan’, which is a local shell I never had anywhere else. The freshness is reflected in the pronounced taste of the sea in the Lokan itself. The size... it's almost insanely big that it's more on the side of the chewing. But what makes it unique is it water ‘bags’ that burst open when biting in them and releasing the fresh sea taste. Overall, pleasant food (if you are not a hygiene freak) in picturesque surroundings. Fresh seafood is guaranteed. And at RM48 for everything, it's a literal steal.
Great spicy asam pedas and seafood dishes. Must visit for asam pedas lovers
